Concrete floors block Wi-Fi well. If your router is on the ground floor, the top floor may get a weak signal. Two common fixes are a Wi-Fi extender and a mesh system.
Wi-Fi extender
A small device that repeats your router's signal.
Low cost and easy to set up.
Often creates a second network name, and speed can drop through the extender.
Mesh Wi-Fi
Two or more units that work together as one network.
Your phone moves between them without reconnecting.
Costs more, but gives steadier speed across a large home.
Which to choose
For one weak room, an extender is usually enough. For a whole floor or a large house, mesh is the better choice. Place the second unit halfway between the router and the weak area, not inside it.
